Hummingbirds

In all of North America there are about 16 species of hummingbirds, in Ecuador there are more than 150 species. We have 2 - 3 different daily at our feeder just outside the window and we have seen dozens on our trips. Hard to get "in the camera" they are fast little buggers.

The Sparkling Violet Ear, Long-tailed Sylph and the PurpleThroated Woodstar are the most common at our feeder, with the first one the biggest and most territorial of the birds, always chasing the others.
